The Women Writers Network is passionate about supporting and promoting women writers.
The Women Writers Network is an international group of committed writers who have come together with a common aim: to champion women writers of all descriptions across all categories and genres.
Women read more books, buy more books and are more likely to belong to a library or a book group than men. Yet even today, books by women are less likely to be represented by agents, less likely to be reviewed and less likely to be submitted to literary prizes.
We think this discrimination isn’t right and we want to change it. To this end, we run a Twitter account and monthly Tweetchat dedicated to promoting, supporting and raising awareness about women writers.
Our Twitter Presence
The Women Writers Network uses Twitter to bring as much attention to women writers as we can. We share relevant news, publications, projects, courses, events and competitions to help spread the word about the work of women writers. We are also happy to share our experience of writing, editing, publishing and marketing with our Twitter followers. If there’s something you want to know, just ask.
You can meet us live at our monthly Twitter chat on the third Thursday of (almost) every month. We discuss issues and ideas affecting women writers. Past chat topics have included Women Writing the Body, Women Writing During Covid and Women Writing Comedy.
